This website is built on base of sequence of Fibonacci numbers. Though it does not recreate a golden rectangle (due to the problem of controlling the expanding content of the website), its layout in width still preserves the strict sequence of numbers: 0, 1, 1, 3, 5, 8, 13. Starting at certain central point (0) the layout expands into the columns and each column’s width in pixels is a subsequent number of pixels equal to the sum of the previous two.
Same method is applied to the font-size: paragraph is 13px, headings are 21, and 34 pixels accordingly and font sizes of the logo are 34 and 233 px (while I had to omit numbers 55, 89 and 144).
My name is Tanya, I live and work in Tel Aviv, Israel. I design and code websites, create graphic works—majority of my print works is CD booklets and I study web design almost every day. I am a front-end developer, loving HTML, CSS and JavaScript languages. I tried a back-end coding but I felt it was not mine and stopped to do this. Also I am not big fan of Flash but forthcoming HTML5 attracts me strongly.
Sometimes I write articles in my blog, where I share my knowledge and experience in designing and coding. And I hope these my small notes may help people to make their design life easier... At least in the beginning of the way... in very simple words I try to expalain the basics of good, semantic code and as a fan part sometimes I allow myself to criticize poorly coded and designed websites. You may subscribe to my articles there, RSS is functioning:)))
If I would have more time and money I would buy more books and paintings, would travel more often and would attend more musical festivals. There are so many interesting things around and so many things are missed... But I strongly believe that one day the dreams will come true.
